IT ALL STARTED WHEN

A group of musicians playing guitars around a backyard fire discussed starting their own live sound company. There were good companies out there, but they wanted to build something better from a musician's perspective. Passionate about music and sound, they got to work experimenting with creating their own production. See how HRP Chicago has grown from a couple of friends in a basement to a full-service production business. As the company expands, HRP continues to be passionate and dedicated to building a business that does it best.

Timeline

The Basement Years

We moved equipment and vans to our first warehouse in Elk Grove, where we also bought our first box truck. The warehouse had no loading dock, so all equipment had to come on and off the trucks by hand, using the lift gates on the backs of the trucks. After years of stacking equipment to the ceiling as well as using our trucks for equipment storage, we moved (across the parking lot) in 2022 to our current, bigger location.

2006

The Moving On Up Years

: In 2010, HRP outgrew the backyard shed, rented their first warehouse, and bought its first box truck. This allowed them to become the primary A/V rental and lighting provider for many prominent event companies.

2010

The Star-Struck Years

In 2016, Hedroom Productions was reincorporated as HRP Chicago LLC. and a year later bought their first outdoor stage, allowing them to work with popular Chicagoland music festivals and high-level events. Throughout the years, HRP has lit the stage for artists such as Lady Gaga, Steve Aoki, Ja Rule, Jason Derulo, Burno Mars, Travie McCoy, Mike Posner, Brett Elderidge, the Jonas Brothers, Bad Bunny, Chris Cagle, and more.

2016

The Growth Years

After staying strong during the pandemic, HRP decided it was time to move again. In 2022, they outgrew their first warehouse and moved to their current location, where they no longer use trucks for storage and are stacking equipment to the ceiling. This move allowed HRP to become a primary Labor Services provider for a major Chicago sports team.

2022

The Elevated Year

By 2023, HRP had served hundreds of rental customers. This allowed HRP to expand their rental inventory, introducing a range of mobile stages. The mobile stages have become a symbol of HRP's commitment to elevating the events they work on, ensuring the production of high-quality A/V and lighting for events across the Chicagoland region. Their commitment to excellence is what sets HRP apart in the industry.
