After starting as a stagehand in 2018, Dillion Hogan moved up the HRP ranks and is now one of the production managers focusing on audio engineering. Dillion started his audio engineering journey in high school when he worked at local bars and music venues, helping with the merch tables, sound, and lighting. His passion grew as he learned more about building wireless show control networks, using acoustic modeling software, and eventually earning his audio design and production degree from Columbia College in 2020. His ear for detail, rapid problem-solving skills, and ability to work well under pressure make him an asset to any live event, especially those that feature live music.
Outside of managing events, Dillion enjoys trying local breweries with his fiancé and visiting family and friends in Ireland, where he has dual citizenship.
“My favorite part of working live events is mixing monitors for the performing artist and making sure they can hear themselves and their fellow musicians comfortably on stage, ensuring the song goes well and they stay on time. I also find working on the annual and recurring events satisfying because each year, we get to make them better than ever before.”
